The Council has now received the External Auditor Report & Certificate from the accountancy firm Moore and the external audit for the 2022/23 Financial Year is now concluded.

Pailton Parish Council gave notice in June that any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounting records for the financial year which ended on 31 March 2023. However, it is noted in the auditors' report that the Council failed to provide 30 clear days during which time the accounting statements etc can be inspected. Therefore the Council has extended the time these documents will be available on reasonable notice by a further 20 days - making 44 days in total. This period ends on Friday 15th September 2023. The certificate also notes that there was a typographical error in boxes 7 and 8 which should have read 'the balance carried forward was £227,466 - and not £227,446 as shown. This has been corrected on the paper copy.

The period for exercise of public rights runs from Tuesday 27th June 2023, until Friday 16th September 2023.
