Would you like to become a parish councillor?

Pailton Parish Council has a vacancy for a parish councillor and is looking to co-opt a local resident who is on the electoral roll to join the Council.

clerk@pailtonparishcouncil.org.uk and you will be asked to complete a short application form.

If there is only one application then that person is automatically co-opted to the Parish Council.

If there is more than one person, then the four current councillors will vote on who to appoint at a closed meeting of the Council.

Closing date and time for the co-option submissions is 12noon on 21 February 2023, ahead of the next Parish Council Meeting on Monday 27 February 2023.

Once co-opted, the councillor becomes a councillor in their own right as co-option is a legitimate form of the election process for parish councillors.
