Debrillator Out of Service

Our Village Defibrillator is Out of Service

The Parish Council is proceeding with plans to refurbish the old telephone box that houses our defibrillator. Until that work is finished the defibrillator has been removed to storage for safety.
In a cardiac emergency if you think a defibrillator could be used - please ring 999 first and they will tell you where and how to access the nearest working defibrillator – this could be in Monks Kirby or Harborough Magna. In every cardiac emergency you should always ring 999 first before going to get a defibrillator. The 999 operator - in addition to giving you the location of the nearest machine and the code to release the defibrillator - will issue an emergency call out to the nearest paramedic – whose attendance is essential.

Don't delay – call 999 first and act on their advice.

We will let you know as soon as the defibrillator is back in service and will be arranging training on how to use the defibrillator.
